Luxurious Cotton Paper

Luxurious, high-end 100% cotton museum quality archival matt paper – Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308 gsm.

This heavyweight acid-free paper is considered by gallery owners, museums, and collectors as one of the best available on the market for creating fine art prints.

It has a smooth, delicately textured warm tone surface, and great tactile qualities – it feels wonderfully soft in your hands.

Photographs printed on this paper come out perfectly sharp with outstanding smooth gradations, deep blacks, excellent details, fantastic pictorial depth, and natural, beautifully saturated colors.

Archival Inks

My fine art prints are printed with the best archival inks available on the market – 12-color Canon Lucia Pro.

These inks in combination with the highest quality cotton paper guarantee outstanding color reproduction, smooth gradations and fantastic details both in the shadows and in the lights.

Thanks to these inks, the scenery looks so vivid, you'll want to jump into the frame.

Lifetime Warranty Against Fading

This fine art print meets the highest museum and archival standards, and it will not start to fade or change its colors for many decades (at least 100 years).

Nordic travel photography print featuring a crashed DC3 plane at Solheimasandur in Iceland

Hi! I'm Adam Biernat,

an award-winning photographer, exhibiting regularly in art galleries.

I also publish my pictures in top Icelandic magazines.

Thank you for coming!

How I created this artwork

I took this photograph in June 2017, during one of my 6-month stays in Iceland. During that time, I lived on a farm just half-an-hour drive from this plane.

I visited this site a few times to get this photograph. On this particular day, the conditions were fabulous. I love that the plane is surrounded with dense fog. It adds a lot of mystery to the scene, and makes this photograph resemble a freeze-frame of an uncanny dream.

The stark contrast created by the orange jacket against the black desert can easily seduce the viewer.

I got to the plane wreck after a short walk through a black desert, almost void of any vegetation. The harsh scenery reminds of another planet. Black emptiness is so hypnotizing.

And how did this plane end up here? It was an ordinary day in November 1973. Due to bad weather conditions and low fuel, Douglas R4D-8 17171 (also known as DC3) of the United States Navy was forced to an emergency landing on the black sand beach near Vík í Mýrdal.

The plane was abandoned afterward. Almost 50 years later, its silent presence can easily give you the creeps.

This in a way surreal artwork will be a highlight of every modern minimalist interior. Wouldn't you like to delve into this mesmerizing world every day?

This mesmerizing fine art print will bring relief and allow your thoughts to slow down.

A great adventure awaits you every day!
