A place between presence and absence. A landscape holding its secrets.

Part of the award-winning series Somewhere by the Sea, this minimalist fine art photograph captures the Baltic coast in its most hauntingly quiet state—long after the summer crowds have disappeared.

Unlike Adam Biernat's Icelandic landscapes, this series was created in Poland, the country he comes from. It explores the mystery of deserted beaches where human traces remain, but the crowds are long gone.

In this piece:
A quiet field of wooden posts—like a ritual, or a ruin.
They stand like sentinels in the sand, watching the line where sea meets sky.

Their presence feels phantom-like, silent yet intense.

Limited edition of only 10 per size—never reprinted once sold out.
Hand-signed & numbered with a Certificate of Authenticity.
Printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag for exceptional depth & texture.

A rare collector’s piece—secure yours before it disappears forever.

How I created this artwork

I was walking alone that morning.

The fog was heavy—thick enough to blur the edges of everything but light enough to see what mattered. I couldn’t hear the sea yet, but I could feel it. The world was hushed. And then I saw them.

Dark posts, rising from the sand like an ancient ritual. Or a ruin. At first, they felt architectural, almost geometric. But the longer I stood with them, the more human they became. Upright. Isolated. Together, yet apart. Sentinels in the fog.

There was no sign, no context—just this silent field of upright forms, caught in a geometry that held no answers. I framed the shot from a distance, letting the emptiness around them speak. Because that’s where the tension lives—not in what you see, but in what might be.

Are they watching? Waiting? Have they always been here?

This photograph is the stillness before something happens. Or just after.

This mesmerizing fine art print will bring relief and allow your thoughts to slow down.
